"Creative Tatting Step by Step Lessons 1 & 2" in one book.
The first two lessons concentrate on creating floral blossoms, stems and leaves with rings whose picots are elongated or reduced to create the impression of petal of leaf. Beautiful floral appliques can be reproduced with just a little practice.
"Creative Tatting Step by Step Lessons 3 & 4" in one book.
The next two lessons focused on creating entire trees, trunks and several types of foliage. Included are photos and pattern to create a Christmas tree dressed with old-fashioned candles.
"Creative Tatting Step by Step Lessons 5 & 6" in one book.
These new lessons demonstrate the method of crocheting the tops of picots to create leaves similar to maidenhair ferns and flowers like violets and plum blossoms.
These new lessons demonstrate the method of gathering the tops of picots to create leaves and petals for large format blossoms. Combining the patterns from the new book with those studied in lessons 1-6 will enable the creative tatter to produce actual "paintings" in tatted lace.
Although previously available only in the original German, Helma Siepmann's book "Start Tatting Creatively" or "KREATIVES OCCHI" is now available in English.
Known in German tatting circles as a master of floral design and encapsulation, Helma's work also appears in Book 5 of the Ribbonwinners Series "Tatting with Friends."
