by Lyn Morton Lyn Morton dedicates her sixth book of tatting patterns to the novice tatter. The patterns are an excellent "next step" for those who have mastered the ring and chain. The book includes detailed black and white photos and easy to read, numbered diagrams which are also accompanied by traditional written directions. This booklet (8.25" x 6" or 22 x 16 cm) has 16 pages. |
Lyn's layout draws the beginning tatter away from just the normal ring and chain edging into insertions and progresses to multi-ring elements and individual motifs. The book ends with an introduction to the twisted or josephine chain. Several of the motifs are decorated with both regular picots and picots of verying lengths to add texture to the tatting. Style of pattern. |
