Notes for easier downloading provided by Bina Madden:

Visiting a link while your Acrobat preferences are set to open and view the pdf file while online can use more of your system resources and slow your pc's performance. If you wish to download the PDF file then view and print at your leisure when off-line, then follow these instructions for a quicker process...

1. Right-Click the Mouse of the intended pdf link (any link to be saved includes a webpage) listed on on the web page visited.

2. A dialog box will appear and select "Save Target As".

3. Another dialog box asking you to save the file, will direct you to save it to your specific folder on your hard drive...

The file will then download WITHOUT opening Acrobat to be viewed until you do so manuallly.

You can download more than one file at once.

After initiating the first download, right click on the next link and do steps 2 and 3 again. The status of the download will show on your Start Bar.

If your preferences in Acrobat are sent to open with the browser automatically and you wish to view to contents of the PDF file before attempting to print all or part of the file. Simply left-click on the link in question. However the load time may be considerable and making use of the other method will not only save time but the file can easily be deleted if you chose not to retain the file.

These steps will allow more users to finish downloads more quickly and minimize any traffic jams on the server.
