WELCOME TO THE HOME OF THE ONLINE TATTING CLASS

The online tatting class meets on Monday afternoons 3PM ET (New York time)
and Monday nights 8:30PM ET (New York time)

The Online Tatting Class' next lesson will be May 11, 2009,
Monday at 3PM or 8:30PM ET (New York time).

The next special event will in June.

There is a new class for beginning needle tatting. We will meet 1/2 hour prior to the start of the regular tatting class on Mondays, 2:30 PM ET and 8PM ET. All beginners are welcome to stay and participate in the regular tatting class afterwards. Save the lessons for when you are ready to try them out.

The Online Tatting Class website is brought to you from April through mid-August 2009
by the kind support of Joan, Elnora, Gina, Connie, Ruth, Barbara, Dorcas, MaryJane, the tatters of the Henderson, KY Tatting Guild, Christine, Maria, Krystle, Christina, Maggie, Riet, Marie, Angela, Erin, Cathy and Paule.

Just imagine a tatter stranded on a desert isle. There is plenty of shelter, shade, food, water and a lot of time to wait for rescue. Now just what tatting supplies would you like to find buried in a forgotten treasure chest? Shuttles, threads, beads, books? Your favorite patterns, new patterns never tried? Old antique booklets or brand new books just printed? Fabric or hankies to be edged? We've got an empty treasure chest just waiting to be filled. I'll start it off by donating a copy of... what else?... "A Tatter's Treasure Chest" (Waldrep.) All the items will be auctioned off at the 2009 Tat Days and the proceeds donated to the scholarship fund.

To join the online tatting class, send email with name, postal mailing address with country (All info confidential, you may send just hometown if preferred. This helps us to locate tatting buddies and local guilds for new tatters), email address and screen name to: AKTATTER@aol.com. No fees, just tatting fun! You do not have to attend class in person. You are welcome to follow along with the lessons and email if you have questions.

You will receive the lesson notes by email thru the tatlist@googlegroups.com messages.

IOLI Guild Index

Many thanks to Shelley Hedberg for preparing this helpful resource to locating International Old Lacers, Inc. tatting guilds.

Calling All Tatters!

The IOLI convention needs flowers to help celebrate their theme, "Golden Nuggets of Lace." The flowers need to be in shades of golor colored thread or gold metallics or gold some in there. We will be using the August Birthday Flowers of the Month from last year's fundraiser: "Flowers of Lace Put a Smile on Your Face!" Order the booklet direct from PTG: http://www.palmettotatters.org/fundraisers.shtml#flowersoflace. It is a lovely book and Myrtle H. Stickey did a marvelous job of layout and editing.

Jon's August Birthday Flower of the Month.
