Homework from Katie Verna katie@r-v-r.com

Here's my version of the Denali snowflake without the use of the central large picot to maintain the centers of the internal trefoil rings.I've left it unfinished for a couple of reasons. The first because my first chain joined to the wrong side of the first trefoil. Good grief! Two other issues emerged. The large center rings actually do need the stability of the center picot as they flop about now. I also don't do the inward picot join very well. Mine look sloppy and the line of the chain has a funny leg on it. Interesting experiment though. What do you think?

Right now I'm bewitched by Nancy Be-Stitched's snowflake and have a couple more to do for the family. Two samples attached using Marilee's HDT (the green might be Sherry's). These are fun and can be done with shuttle and ball because the Shoelace trick sets you up for the outer trefoils. http://www.be-stitched.com/pattern0706snowflake.asp

The last attachment is for my mom who love ladybugs. The folded triangle is from http://kathyscrazymoments.blogspot.com/
November 7 2008. You start by making a hexagon template from a circle. Fun.

The #80 snowflake is The Twirly from Jon Yusoff's snowflake book."
