Motifs très cute en Aria a la Mignonette

The class centerpiece project has been coordinated by our own Sherry Townsend. Several weeks ago we put out a call for the online tatting class and tat chat tatters to create a motif and send it in for the class centerpiece. Sherry has been working on embedding the elements into the centerpiece with a tatted network in mignonette stitch.

While waiting for the first of the donated motifs to arrive Sherry tatted a center medallion. Then she basted the motifs in place on a backing cloth (to be removed after completion) and tatted them together with her mignonette webbing.

As the piece grows we will share the different patterns with the online class. Some of the tatted motifs were original patterns; others are found in popular books to which you will be directed.
