Holly's Heart

During a class sometime ago, Holly encountered this heart pattern. Her teacher may have designed it or it may have come from elsewhere. Holly is uncertain. If anyone recognizes the source, please let us know.

Holly sent this scan to me and asked, "Can this be adapted to split rings?" After one look at all the loose ends hanging about, I replied "YES!" Since Valentine's Day was nearly upon us, I then put out a call for a helper to tat the model. Lily Morales came to the rescue. So Lily and I redesigned the heart for us to study here in class.

During the diagramming process, Lily became inspired and modified the basic heart pattern into a superb heart-shaped bookmark with tassel!. She did a magnificent job with photos for all the steps and has prepared the step by step instructions with stitch counts. Terrific work, Lily!
