Debbie Drake's Adding a New Thread the Knotless Way!


Pink = Old tail (OT)

Blue = New Thread (NT)

Black = Core Thread (CT)

Note: This works as described only at the beginning of a ring.

Lay the NT at the last complete stitch with the OT coming up from the work (see diagram).

Make the first half of next stitch, laying the OT alongside the NT.

Make the second half of the stitch laying the OT alongside the CT.

Lay the OT alongside the CT for the next couple of stitches (to hide) until secure.

The tail from the NT is secure and can be hidden along the CT In the next chain (or)

In the last stitches of the same ring (as in single shuttle work) using the Magic Thread.
