Angel by Dianna Stevens




I used size 20 thread and a small amount of metallic filament thread. Two seed beads and one small glass heart bead. Two shuttles, and about 3 yards on each shuttle (continuous). Thread the two seed bead on to one of the shuttles.


Begin at the center. Body and skirt.
R 6 - 6, cl. Make this picot large enough to join two rings and to slide the heart bead over.
C. 3 - 3. (6p). R. 6 + 6, cl. Join to picot of first ring.
C. 3 - 3 - 3 - 3. Make these first two picot very small. The last picot normal sized.
R. 6 + 6, cl. Join to first picot of the 6 picot chain. C. 3 - 3 - 3 - 3. Repeat this ring and chain for remaining picot. End w/ Ring.
C. 3 - 3 - 3 - 3. Make first picot normal size and the last two very small. Join to base of first ring made.


Wing
Chain 3.
R. 6 - 3 - 3, cl. Make first picot very small and second picot normal sized.
C. 2 + 2 + 2. Join to very small picot of last chain of body.
R. 3 + 3 - 4, cl. C. 6. SCMR: 12. C. 6 + 6 + 4. Join to the tops of wing rings.

Head and halo
R. 3 + (heart bead) 3 - 2 (sb) 2 (sb) 2, cl. Add the filament thread.
C. 3 -- 3 -- 3 + 1 -- 3 + 1 -- 3 + 3. Join to very small picot of head ring. Cut filament thread. (double picot forming the halo effect)

Wing
C. 4 R. 6 - 3 - 3, cl. C. 6 . R. 3 + 3 - 4, cl.
C. 6. SCMR 12, 6 + 2 + 2 + 2 + 3. Tie or end at ring of body.
