Two Wheels and a Corner
Pentagonal antique motif: Note that the small rings between the five large rings are joined to the same picot so that three rings share each picot.
This is a test: What do you notice about the outward facing rings?
Hexagonal antique motif: Note that the inner six rings were orginally done in cut and tie. However, you can start the motif with a large ring and throw off those six inner rings which all join to one picot on the initial inner ring.
This is a test: What do you notice about the outward facing rings?
Handkerchief corner motif antique: Note that the motif is attached by the eight rings. These can be sewn on later or tatted directed onto the cloth.
