oval earrings by Jane Eborall

Jane Eborall's Oval Earrings (http://janeeborall.freeservers.com/EarringOval.pdf) are an exercise in using the self-closing mock ring, lock stitch chain. shuttle lock join and beadwork.

Miss Olive Beller's "Van Dyke" edging from 1916. This vintage pattern is deceptive. It looks like simple tatted elements, opposing ring insertions, easy center wheel, easy edging, but the placement of the joins are all important. Miss one picot and you will miss the "point" of the design.
