Erin Holloway is coordinating the project. The deadline to submit snowflakes is May 1, 2011. There is no sewing to do this time! Just complete your snowflake and mail it in! Erin will take care of sewing down the snowflakes. The quilt top will then be backed, bound and quilted. You may also leave the tails attached. They can be used to secure the flakes. The quilt top will be a navy (midnight) blue color. The snowflakes should be basically white, but some silvery or pale blue threads might be ok. Metallic threads and beads should stick to a white, silvery, ice blue palette. A second project will include a table runner in purple with bejeweled beauties! Other small items will be prepared if there are enough snowflakes to go around. Remember that a snowflake has 6 points or a multiple of 6, i.e., 12 etc. Thread may be any brand and any size. We need tiny snowflakes up by the face of Old Man North Wind and as the wind streams outward the snowflakes will bet bigger. Slip snowflakes into plastic bag or wrap in clear wrap and sandwich them between two pieces of cardboard for mailing. 2011 Scholarship Fundraiser SNOW QUILT DETAILS
