| Welcome Jan Voskes who shares his pattern "Marja"
http://www.georgiaseitz.com/2010/janvoskesMarjadoily.pdf
Please visit Jan's website, http://tatslife.voskes.eu/e/indextat.htm, for lots of beautiful patterns. Just in from Jon! She has made a chart showing us how to tat round 2, 3 and 4 without cut and tie! Many thanks. http://www.georgiaseitz.com/2010/jonnocutJan's_Marja_Doily_w_Chart.jpg
The doily is a study in negative space. Please review these lessons:

| It appears that many tatters have struggled with measuring the bare thread spaces in the mignonette tatting from Jan. 11 and the netted heart from Jan. 18. So let's work another one ring pattern. This was a study project from the Lace Museum pieces. It was shared at IOLI 2009 and with the LACE guild newsletter this month.

Maria from Mexico decided the length of the bare thread space between the tiny rings is too large and she is reworking this heart.

| Katie Verna writes: Here's my version of the netted heart. It is my first time for mignonette tatting. As you can see, the thread spaces vary in size. All in all, I enjoyed doing it and love your version doing it without T&C in the middle. Very clever! The heart is tatted with Marilee's Pizzazz in size 20 and measures 4x4.5 inches. Should have used Jane E's method of adding the bead between rings, sliding the bead over the picot, instead of sliding it up during the making of the ring. Also, I twisted a couple of the mignonette rings during attachment to the border. Guess all this means I should do it again!!
| Nina Richardson encountered the same trouble with keeping the bar thread space regular.
