Winkerbill: I think I would enjoy the 24-hour a day sunlight. Don't think I could handle the winter darkness, though
AKTATTER: if you tat you would never notice the dark!
AnneB: We don't have 24 hours darkness, there is a bit of twilight at midday (10-14)
Winkerbill: mmmm....I notice it, just make sure I have every light on in the room I'm in AND in the adjoining room....I often tat late at night....and I just don't like "dark"
AKTATTER: I got 11 more patterns today for the drawing!
Winkerbill: Twilight ....that's my favorite time of day....when the sky is a dark blue and you can see the stars, but it's not completely dark yet.

Winkerbill: Wow! We'll have the whole book if this keeps up. I was bored this morning, almost pulled that book up to see if I could figure out another photo. Ended up tatting instead.

AKTATTER: and needle tatting allows us to use fat fluffy textured and metallic fibers which do not work well with a shuttle
AKTATTER: and beading is easy with the needle too

Margaret: I have a wonderful tube, handmade from cherry wood for my needles, but how do I tell which size is which easily

Margaret: I have to lay them all out and compare them every time I try to select one
AKTATTER: which size the needles are?
Margaret: the wool needles are easy
paulaw: Margaret-I purchased a Tatting Needle and Picot Gauge from Handy Hands
Margaret: I have only one set of wool needles
AKTATTER: oh i do that also, you must try to match the size of the thread as closely as possible and so I putt hem al lout and one by one compare them to the thread
paulaw: It has holes that you slide you needles through with the marked size on each hole.
AKTATTER: I don't know of any guide for tatting needles
AKTATTER: ok i will go and get the log ready and post it in a few minutes
