Tell you what--a good 8 inches this time last Sunday. AnneB: It has been less than usual here - so far this winter. I'm ready - no, I'm IMPATIENT - to plant vegetables and flowers! Katie Verna/occhitat: I was pretty stir-crazy by Friday when everyone but the babies were at work and I was too fearful to drive. AnneB: Most of us do, but some don't - but they got reminded this year - plenty of snow "down south" Winkerbill: I don't drive in snow and ice, either. I have a friend who lived much further north, and she says she doesn't mind driving in snow....as long as it's not any higher than the car bumpers! Not me. I stay home. Katie Verna/occhitat: My daffodils are trying to come up--made it about two inches before the snow hit. They seem to be doing ok. Brenda Evans: i get confused with the changing shuttles. i had shuttle 1 over my hand to do the first *chain. then it tells you to SS and start the scmr. now do i take the shuttle off my hand and put the other shuttle on my hand. doing that changes the colours AnneB: For all SCMR B (and chains) you use shuttle 1 AnneB: For all SCMR D you use shuttle 2 Brenda Evans: i wasn't aware that D was a scmr AnneB: It is. The telling is the floating ring E on ring D. AnneB: You can't have rings floating on rings - you need a SCMR (or a split ring, but that is another story) Brenda Evans: i did D the same colour A AnneB: To get SCMR D the same colour as A, you need to use the other shuttle. Brenda Evans: so the rings that are on the very small rings in the middle are scmr except the ones that have a picot on them. i can't get that ring with the picot facing the small rings Brenda Evans: they are the same colour then. was i right thinking that? AnneB: The very small rings are on the larger SCMR D Brenda Evans: yes.
