AKTATTER: EVERYONE GOT I T PRINTED OR ON SCREEN?
marco: thank you all
AKTATTER: WELCOME JENNY
Bob: got it, thanks
marco: i am printing  just now
Cynthia: yes, thank you
DorcasAnn: yes
jenny: Sorry I lost you but I'm back
JaneEb: Ah.  That's easy. I think.  The main thing to remember is that you never have to plan the size of the picot doing it this way
marco: 3 different ones is that  carrect?
AKTATTER: 4 DIFFERENT PAGES MARCO
claudia from x.x.x.104 joined the chat 44 minutes ago
Marie Smith: got it
AKTATTER: STARTING WITH THIS ONE
AKTATTER: http://www.users.globalnet.co.uk/~nickeb/Addbeadslongpicot.pdf
JaneEb: When you get to the proposed picot you put the number of beads you want to use onto the thread at the back of the hand.  Sort of next to the pinch or slightly further on from that.
marco: o dear i missed one
claudia: hi all!!
marco: it is printing now
AKTATTER: SO WE PUT BEADS ON BEFORE WE ACTUALLY DO THE PICOT
JaneEb: Then put a safety pin or a paperclip to hold the beads in place.  Then make teh picot.  Does that make sense?
AKTATTER: WELCOME CLAUDIA
LearaB: still working on it
claudia: claudia meza , cloelo@gmail.com. argentina
AKTATTER: YOU NEED JUST ENOUGH SPACE TO GET THE HOOK THRU TO MAKE THE JOIN IS THAT RIGHT?
cat2tat: I don't understand - how do we get the beads on before picot?
Lizette from x.x.x.59 joined the chat 42 minutes ago
Cynthia: yes to me it does...I used a coilless safety pin
AKTATTER: PLEASE LOOK AT http://www.users.globalnet.co.uk/~nickeb/Addbeadslongpicot.pdf
AKTATTER: SEE THE RING IN PROGRESS?
jenny: is a crochet hook best Jane?
AKTATTER: JUST BEFORE DOING TEH POICOT
Lizette: just arrived haven't received an email yet.    So I never know what to plan for.
AKTATTER: JANE PULLED UPTHE RING THREAD
Bob: That's very clever.
Tine Vedder: m
AKTATTER: AND SLID A BUNCH OF BEAD DOWN THAT LOOP
Cynthia: our Jane is clever
JaneEb: Yes, that's right.  You can either join back straight away but that's another 'story'.  For these beads and flowers you just let the long beaded picot dangle until you need to join again.  This would be the first beaded picot on the flowers/b'flies
AKTATTER: THEN SHE PUT A PAPERCLIP OON THE END OF THE LOOP
AKTATTER: SO SHE CAN JOIN TOT HE LOOP/PICOT LATER
JaneEb: Jenny - I use a very fine crochet hook usually.
AKTATTER: YOU NEED A 14, 15 OR 16 USUALLY FOR FINE BAD WORK
Marie Smith: Can Jane use caps?
Cynthia: please
AKTATTER: NOW JANE THE LAST SET OF DRAWING SHOW A DIFFERENT WAY TO PUT THOSE BEADS ON
JaneEb: OK!!
AKTATTER: PLEAS DO JANE
Marie Smith: Thanks
Cynthia: thanks Jane
AKTATTER: YOU SAY WE CAN BEAD THAT PICOT AND TIE A KNOT IN IT?
MJB from x.x.x.152 joined the chat 39 minutes ago
MJB: sorry I am late
DorcasAnn: hi, MJB
Tine Vedder: hi MJB
JaneEb: AH, BUT WE DON'T NEED THAT WAY TODAY!  OK, SO YOU'VE MADE A LONG BEADED PICOT AND ANCHORED THE BEADS ON!
MJB: Hi Dorcas and everybody
Marie Smith: Hi Mary Jane
AKTATTER: WELCOME MARY JANE! GREAT WORK ONTHE CLIPS
MJB: thanks., was hoping you got the picture
JaneEb: YOU THEN CONTINUE WITH THE PATTERN UNTIL YOU REACH THE NEXT BEADED PICOT AND THIS IS WHEN THINGS GET TO BE FUN!
Bob: Hi MJB
AKTATTER: OK WE SHOULD IGNOR THAT ONE FOR TODAY THEN
JaneEb: YES, IGNORE FOR TODAY!!!  ANOTHER DAY'S PLAYTIME!
AKTATTER: JUST THE UPPER DIAGRAMS FOR THE LONG BEADED PICOT
Cynthia: but it gives me a good idea....another play day
JaneEb: IS EVERYBODY OK WITH THEIR ONE LONG BEADED PICOT (LBP)?
Cynthia: yes
marco: ok
Marie Smith: yes
AKTATTER: AND THE SECOND TYPE OF BEADEDD PICOT WE NEED FOR TODAY IS
Bob: Ok so far
AKTATTER: http://www.users.globalnet.co.uk/~nickeb/BeadsMulti.pdf
Tine Vedder from x.x.x.125 joined the chat 36 minutes ago
AKTATTER: THIS IS THE ONE THAT I FIND SO INTRIGUING
jenny: yes thanks
Tine Vedder: sorry was wrong
AKTATTER: WB TINE
Tine Vedder: hi
AKTATTER: EVERYONE GOT THAT PAGE PRINTED OR SHOWING?
Tine Vedder: yes
JaneEb: IF SO THEN JUST CONITINUE IN THE PATTERN UNTIL THE SECOND BEADED ONE AS IN THE LINK AKA'S JUST SENT
AKTATTER: THIS BEGINS JUST LIKE THE ONE WE JUST LEARNED
Marie Smith: yes
AKTATTER: BUT WHAT HAS TRICKY JANE ADDED TO IT??
claudia: yes
JaneEb: LOOK AT FIG. 2 NOW.  SEE THAT LBP IS MADE BUT WITH NO PIN IN THE END?
marco from x.x.x.240 joined the chat 35 minutes ago
AKTATTER: RIGHT I SEE IT
marco: sorry  something went  wrong
AKTATTER: WB MARCO
AKTATTER: WE ARE ON http://www.users.globalnet.co.uk/~nickeb/BeadsMulti.pdf
Tine Vedder: hihi Marco
marco: thankds
marco: have that one printed
JaneEb: THAT'S BECAUSE YOU NEED THE SPACE THERE AT THE END TO POST THE FIRST LBP THROUGH IT.  YOU WRIGGLE THE FIRST ONE ALONG UNTIL YOU GET TO THE PLACE IT STATES IN THE PATTERN
Tine Vedder: yes
JaneEb: SETTLE  THE PICOT IN BETWEEN THE TWO BEADS STATED ADN TIGHTEN THE PICOT UP.
AKTATTER: OK THEN THE LONG BEADED PICOT MADE FIRST GOES THRU THE TOP OF THE SECOND BEADED PICOT
JaneEb: TAT'S IT GEORGIA
AKTATTER: SNUG IT UP? THAT'S A CINCH TO DO!
AKTATTER: WOW WHAT A CONCEPT! i JUST LOVE IT
AKTATTER: OK NOW JANE HELP US PUT THESE TWO TECHNIQUES IN TO PRACTICE
JaneEb: OK, NOW ALL YOU DO IS WORK THE NEXT GIVEN NUMBER OF DS AND JOIN TO THE FIRST LBP!!!!!!
Bob: a-ha!
AKTATTER: TERRIFIC HERE'S JANE'S BUTTERFLY PATTERN NEST
AKTATTER: http://www.users.globalnet.co.uk/~nickeb/ButterflyDBP.pdf
Marie Smith: Neat technique Jane!
Cynthia: I love your diagrams it makes it so easy to follow!  Thanks Jane for the hard work and awesofme techniques
marco: very nice beaded flowers  jane!!
marco: thanks
Tine Vedder: these are nice Jane
jenny: it's so simple when it is explained but it takes Jane to think of it 1
AKTATTER: OK JANE THE BUTTERFLY BEGINS AT POINT S
Tine Vedder: o yes
AKTATTER: SO ARE WE DOING THE HEAD RING FIRST?
JaneEb: THANKS BUT IT'S REALLY SO EASY AND ONLY CAME ABOUT BECAUSE OF SOMETHING I WAS  WORKING ON.
marco: it maybe  easy for you!!!!!
marco: but  not for  me
marco: haha
MJB: j
Tine Vedder: j
AKTATTER: IT'S ALL EASY FOR JANE ONCE SHE FIGURES IT OUT BUT SHE SPENDS A LOTOF TIME GETTING IT JUST RIGHT FOR THE REST OF US
AKTATTER: OK JAN EWE START WITH THE HEAD RING?
JaneEb: BUTTERFLIES ARE THE SAME BUT FINISH WITH A SR.  THIS TECHY CAN ALSO BE USED ON THE SECOND SIDE OF A SR.  I'VE GOT A PATTERN WITH IT USED THAT WAY TOO
Tine Vedder: o
AKTATTER: GREAT JANE WE LOOK FORWARD TOTHAT ONE
marco: so  you start with the body?
AKTATTER: SO THE BUTTERFLY  BEGINS WITH THE BODY FIRST?
JaneEb: START WITH THE BODY.  THEN FINISH WITH SR
AKTATTER: OK
Tine Vedder: the head is a SR?
AKTATTER: RING WITH 2 DS BETWEEN EACH PICOT AND OR JOIN
Tine Vedder: y
Bob: k
marco: m
jenny: kk
AKTATTER: R 2 LONG BEADED PICOT 2 SHORTER BEADED PICOT WITH THREAD LOOP AT END
cat2tat: k
AKTATTER: 2 PULL THE FIRST LBP THRU THE TOP OF THE SEECOND BEADED PICOT AND THEN DOWN TO JOIN
Tine Vedder: aha
marco: a sr including  2 beads
AKTATTER: 2 MORE AND APICOT WITH 3 BEADS
Bob: So we put 14 beads in the first LBP, then just thread it through the second one to between beads 8 and 9?
AKTATTER: 2 LONG BEADED PICOT AGAIN
AKTATTER: 2 SHOERT BEADED PICOT
JaneEb: YOU'VE GOT IT BOB.  PERHAPS I SHOULD RE-DO THAT PAGE!!
AKTATTER: 2 PULL THE LONG BEADED PICOT THRU THE TOP OF THE SHORTER BEADED PICOT
AKTATTER: TAT 2 MORE AND JOIN
LearaB: I'll be back at the later class - need to work out something with my printer. . . . laterz
Bob: Just checking.  I am a bear of very little brain :)
AKTATTER: AND 2 TO FINIOSH THE RING
Tine Vedder: k
AKTATTER: OK LEARA SEE YOYU LATER
Bob: bye leara
marco: bye  leara
AKTATTER: ANDTHE REASON THE HEAD IS A SPLOIT RING
LearaB: bye all
Tine Vedder: bye Leara
AKTATTER: IS SO WE CAN HAVE THE TAILS FOR THE TWO ANTENNAE
Cynthia: ah ha....
Tine Vedder: m
AKTATTER: THE LARGER BUTTERFLY ALSO HAS TWO VSP
AKTATTER: VERY SMALL PICOTS TO WHICH TO JOIN THE HEAD RING FOR STABILITY
claudia: here again
AKTATTER: OTHERWISE ONLY THE NUMBER OF DS AND THE NUMBER OF BEADS CHANGE
Tine Vedder: yes
AKTATTER: THAT IS JUST EXCELLENT
jenny: It is all so clear now
marco: the numbers are the  numers  for  the amount of beads?
JaneEb: I TEND TO USE VSP'S IN PATTERNS SO THAT IT STOPS RINGS FROM TURNING ROUND (AND SR'S).  STABALISES THEM AND GIVES THEM MORE OF A 'JE NE SAIS QUOIS'!!!!
AKTATTER: NOW DID EVERYONE SEE THE FLOWER SPRAY IN TEH
AKTATTER: GOLD RING THAT JANE DID
marco: what  a great idea
AKTATTER: THOSE BUTTERFLY WINGS BECAME FLOWER PETALS!
marco: ?
MJB: j
AKTATTER: IS THAT PHOTO NOT ON THAT PAGE NOW jANE?
Cynthia: sneaky and neat Jane...
jenny: where do we find that?
AKTATTER: IS USED TO BE :
claudia: cute butterflies
JaneEb: YES, SECOND LINKS PAGE.  SORRY, DO YOU MEAN THE 'ME MAKING SR' PICTURE?
AKTATTER: http://www.users.globalnet.co.uk/~nickeb/beadsmultipicot_images/flowersinring.jpg.pdf
MJB: you can put them on paper clips
AKTATTER: it's beautiful!
marco: no  cannot open it again
Tine Vedder: i can not open it
AKTATTER: EXCELLENT IDEA MJB
claudia: that link is wrong
marco: sorry
AKTATTER: I THINK JANE CHANGED THE LINK
Tine Vedder: yes
MJB: I can not open it
DorcasAnn: I can't open it
marco: she  was claening hihi
Cynthia: http://www.users.globalnet.co.uk/~nickeb/BeadsMulti.pdf
Cynthia: I think this is the same one
AKTATTER: IS IT AT THE BOTTOM OF THAT PAGE CYNTHIA?
cat2tat: I can't open it
JaneEb: WHOOPS THAT LINK DOESN'T WORK!!!
AKTATTER: JAEN WILL FIND IT FORUS
Tine Vedder: no
Cynthia: I just got it and no it is a small pic at the top
Bob: same here
jenny: m
AKTATTER: AH TOO BAD IT IS A KNOCK OUT
AKTATTER: WELL WE'LL GET IT LATER THEN
Tine Vedder: k
AKTATTER: OK NOW LET'S LOOK AT JANE'S SECOND PATTERN
Cynthia: I'm interested in seeing it now...lol  I bet Jane will find it
AKTATTER: http://www.users.globalnet.co.uk/~nickeb/DanglyFlower.pdf
Tine Vedder: yes
AKTATTER: THE DIRECTIONS ARE GIVEN IN BLACK AND RED
AKTATTER: THE RED PART IS FOR THOSE WHO PREFER
Tine Vedder: y
AKTATTER: THE ALL FRONT/BACK LOOK TO THEIR WORK
marco: h
AKTATTER: THE RED PART YOU WORL IN RODS, REVERSE ORDER DOUBLE STITCH
JaneEb: I'M LOOOKING
claudia: i cant open it !
AKTATTER: SO 2HS THEN 1HS
AKTATTER: http://www.users.globalnet.co.uk/~nickeb/DanglyFlower.pdf
AKTATTER: TRY TO OPEN USING OPEN NOT SAVE THAT MIGHT WORK
claudia: ok, i see it now, thanks
AKTATTER: NOTE JANE'S ABBREVIATIONS
AKTATTER: b  = BEAD ADDED TO PICOT BEFORE A JOIN
AKTATTER: LBP = LONG BEADED PICOT
AKTATTER: SO LET'S IGNORE THE TEXT AND LOOK ONLY A T THE TWO DIAGRAMS PLEASE
AKTATTER: THESE DANGLY LITTLE FLOWERS BEGIN WITH A REGULAR TATTED RING
AKTATTER: SEE IT IS NUMBERED RING 1?
Bob: k
MJB: j
AKTATTER: IT IS A SPLIT RING
cat2tat: k
Marie Smith: yes
AKTATTER: AND THE NEXT ROUND JOINS TO IT
AKTATTER: AND THE PICOTS ARE BEADED BEFORE THE JOINS
AKTATTER: SO SINCE IT IS A SPLIT RING
claudia: ok
AKTATTER: HOW DO WE GET THE BEAD OVER THE MOCK PICOT?
Bob: I dunno
Cynthia: the same way but use just 1 bead?
Tine Vedder from x.x.x.125 joined the chat 13 minutes ago
AKTATTER: WELL JANE TELLS US JUST WHAT TO DO
Marie Smith: Put bead on 1st?
AKTATTER: BEAD GOES ON SHUTTLE ONE
AKTATTER: LEAVE ONE SHUTTLE UNWOUND
JaneEb: BEFORE YOU START ON THE PATTERN, THOUGH!
AKTATTER: USE THE TAIL OF THE UNWOUND SHUTTLE
Tine Vedder from x.x.x.125 joined the chat 12 minutes ago
AKTATTER: AND BRING IT TRRU THE BEAD ALSO
AKTATTER: ONCE TEH TAIL IS BEADED THEN YOU CAN WIND THE SHUTTLE FOR SH2
Bob: I skipped to the diagrams without reading the text, but I get it now....
AKTATTER: NO LUCK JANE ON THE FLOWER PHOTO?
Marie Smith: Wow, how did you figure that one out?
Cynthia: it makes sense but I'll need to try it....before I'm sure how it works
AKTATTER: book 3 for me don't know when jane learned it
marco: ok
AKTATTER: OK THEN THE NEXT ROUND BEGINS WITH A SPLIT RING
Tine Vedder: y
Cynthia: If Jane says it will work then I know it will I just have to work thru it....
AKTATTER: THERE ARE LONG PICOTS AND THE PICOTS ON THE JOINS ARE BEADED ALSO
Bob: Can I just ask, why is the first ring a split one and not a normal one?
AKTATTER: THE CHAINS HAVE BEADED PICOTS
Bob: I get why the second one is a SR, saves ends.
Tine Vedder: k
AKTATTER: IT IS A NORMAL RING SORRY
JaneEb: MARIE - NONE OF THIS IS NEW.  I'M SURE MOST OF IT HAS BEEN OUT IN TAT LAND FOR AGES!!  I'VE JUST GOT A BIGGER MOUTH THAN MOST!!
AKTATTER: EXITING WITH A MOCK PICOT INTO A SPLIT RING
Bob: Oh.  I got confused there.  Thanks
JaneEb: CAN'T FIND THE FLOWER PHOTO.  IT MUST BE ON MY BLOG SOMEWHERE

AKTATTER: IT IS SUCH A PAIN TO BE STUCK LIKE THAT IN THE HOUSE BUT AT LEAST YOU CAN TAT SOME Cynthia: I can send a healing meditation after,,,, Margaret: I need the ice and pain pills but they are downstairs -- too painful to get them LearaB: try to elevate your foot a little AKTATTER: LEARA YOU ALWAYS MATCH THE SIZE OF YOUR THREAD AND THE SIZE OF YOUR BEADS TOGETHER Krystledawne: Tatt untill you fingers hurt worse than your foot Paule: Never mind the size of beads talk on the size of buttons AKTATTER: TO SEE IF THE BEADS WILL WORK WITH YOUR THREAD LearaB: ok - thanks - I'm using size 20 right now Cynthia: brb AKTATTER: TRY TO SLIDE BEADS ONTO A DOUBLED PIECE OF THE THREAD AKTATTER: TOO SMALL WILL NOT GO ON Margaret: I am tatting without beads (that terminology better, Krystle?) AKTATTER: TOO LARGE OR HEAVY WIL MAKE THE THREAD DROOP TOO MUCH Krystledawne: Hah AKTATTER: LET'S LOOK HER FIRS AKTATTER: http://www.users.globalnet.co.uk/~nickeb/Addbeadslongpicot.pdf AKTATTER: ER LET'S LOOK HERE FIRST AKTATTER: THERE ARE TWO TECHINQUES ILLUSTRATED ON THE ADDING BEADS TO A LONG PICOT PAGE AKTATTER: IGNORE THE BOTTOM ONE Marie Smith: I like sizes 8 to 11beads on size 20 thread or up to 4mm AKTATTER: LOOK AT THE TWO DRAWINGS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE PAGE AKTATTER: << NEVER MET A BEAD I DIDN'T LIKE AKTATTER: HERE THE PICOT TO BE BEADED AKTATTER: IS ON A RING AKTATTER: WHEN YOU REACH THE SPOT FOR THE PICOT AKTATTER: PULL UP A LOOP OF HTE RING(CORE) THREAD AKTATTER: SLIDE THE DESIRED BEADS OVER THIS LOOP AKTATTER: SNUG IT UP TO THE LAST DS MADE Cynthia: from the eye if needle tatting? AKTATTER: BUT AKTATTER: LEAVE A SMIDGEN OF A LOOP AT THE END HELD OPEN WITH A PAPERCLIP AKTATTER: ON THE NEEDLE IT WOULD BE THE WRAPPING THREAD FROM THE BALL Margaret: I need to know "What is the core thread in needle tatting?" AKTATTER: NOW LET THAT BEADED PICOT FLAP IN THE BREEZE LIKE AN OPEN TRAP DOOR OR GRANSPA'S LONG JOHNS Cynthia: the thread that goes thru the ds... Marie Smith: the needle? AKTATTER: CORE THREAD IS WHAT IS THRU THE EYE OF THE NEEDLE BUT Margaret: Marie, I only needle tat AKTATTER: IN THIS CASE THE THREAD TO PUT THE BEADS ON IS THE THREAD FROM THE BALL WHICH YOU ARE WRAPPING ONTO THE NEEDLE Marie Smith: I mean the needle is the core thread AKTATTER: OH LET'S TAKE CARE OF THE FLAPPING PICOT NEXT Margaret: what happened? AKTATTER: RIGHT MARGARET THINK OF THE CORE THREAD AS = THE NEEDLE ITSELF AKTATTER: TAT A FEW MORE DS AS DIRECTED ON YOUR RING AKTATTER: THEN MAKE A REGULAR JOIN TO THE LITTLE BUT OF A LOOP HELD OPEN BY THAT PAPERCLIP AKTATTER: JUST PRETEND THE LOOP IS A REGULAR PICOT AND JOIN Winkerbill: k Krystledawne: on a needle you could just string the loop onto the needle right? katie Verna/occhitat: k AKTATTER: FOR MARGARET, JUST TAKE THE LOOP OF THE BEADED PICOT AND SLIDE IT OVER THE POINT OF THE NEEDLE AND SNUG IT UP AKTATTER: RIGHT KRYSTLE AKTATTER: EVERYONE GOT THE CONCEPT?? Angela: yes Margaret: the computer was taking a long time to bring up the next row. I am not following and in too much pain, so will say goodnight Winkerbill: I think I'm ok with it. Marie Smith: yes katie Verna/occhitat: yep! Cynthia: yes for both techniques this time AKTATTER: IN ESSENCE YOU ARE PLACING BEADS ON A PICOT BEFORE TI ACTUALLY BECOMES A PICOT Winkerbill: night Margaret.... Angela: good night margaret, hope you feel better soon AKTATTER: HANG I NTHERE MARGARET TAKE CARE Winkerbill: I hope you're feeling better soon. LearaB: ok AKTATTER: NEXT Marie Smith: Feel better soon Margaret AKTATTER: http://www.users.globalnet.co.uk/~nickeb/BeadsMulti.pdf Margaret: night to all. I went to a meeting this afternoon and my neighbour took me to buy cat food and to the bank. I may have overdone it AKTATTER: CAN'T BLAME YOU FOR WANTING TO GET OUT A LITTLE THO Cynthia: night Margaret, Peace and hugs Margaret: thanks for all the good wishes. good night AKTATTER: AND IT IS DIFFICULT TO TELL A CAT TO EAT LESS WHEN YOU ARE OUT OF CAT FOOD! Margaret from x.x.x.39 left the chat 55 minutes ago LearaB: night AKTATTER: OK THE NEXT TECHNIQUE AKTATTER: http://www.users.globalnet.co.uk/~nickeb/BeadsMulti.pdf AKTATTER: BUILDS ON THE ONE JUST STUDIED AKTATTER: JANE IS NOW MAKING A LONG BEADED PICOT AKTATTER: AND INSINUATING A SECOND SMALL BEADED PICOT BENEATH IT AKTATTER: FIG 1 IS JUST WHAT WE LEARNED AKTATTER: FIGURE 2 SHOWS A SECOND SMALL ER PICOT AKTATTER: IT TOO IS BEADED AKTATTER: AND IT HAS A LOOP AT THE END ALSO AKTATTER: BUT WE DO NOT JOIN TO THAT LOOP katie Verna/occhitat: k AKTATTER: INSTEAD WE BRING THE LONG BEADED PICOT THROUGH THE LOOP AKTATTER: CATCHING THE SMALL PICOT ABOUT MIDWAY DOWN AKTATTER: SNUG THAT UP TOO AKTATTER: TAT THE NEXT DS REQUIRED AKTATTER: AND THEN MAKE OUR JOIN TO THE LONG BEADED PICOT AS BEFORE AKTATTER: PRETTY COOL HUH? AKTATTER: ANY QUESTIONS? katie Verna/occhitat: Sure is LearaB: yup Angela: yes Picot: k Marie Smith: yesiree AKTATTER: OK LET'S LOOK AT THE BUTTERFLY PATTERN cat2tat: yes Marie Smith: Hi Mary - I said quietly AKTATTER: http://www.users.globalnet.co.uk/~nickeb/ButterflyDBP.pdf Winkerbill: Ok....one question and I think I have both of these techniques - if this is on a chain, you've strung beads on the ball thread, yes? AKTATTER: YES AND NO AKTATTER: NOT PRESTRUNG AKTATTER: BUT BEADS ADDED AS WORKING YES AKTATTER: OK? AKTATTER: STEPH ARE YOU THERE? Marie Smith: Did my computer lock up again? katie Verna/occhitat: k AKTATTER: OK THE BUTTERFLY HAS A SPOT MARKED ON IT "S" AKTATTER: I THINK STEPH;S MUST HAVE FROZEN UP AKTATTER: I SEE YOU MARIE OK Winkerbill: no, I'm here, - Mom's on teh phone.... Marie Smith: She was having trouble AKTATTER: WE BEGIN WITH THE BODY RING AKTATTER: HOPE ALL IS WELL Marie Smith: they ok? AKTATTER: NOET THAT THE RING HAS 2 DS BETWEEN JOINS AND PICOTS AKTATTER: SO R TAT 2 THEN MAKE THE LONG BEADED PICOT WITH A PAPERCLIP ON THE END AKTATTER: TAT 2 AKTATTER: THEN MAKE THE SHORTED BEADED PICOT AKTATTER: TAT 2 AKTATTER: NEXT BRING THE LBP THRU THE TOP OF THE SHORTER ONE AKTATTER: STEPH YOU HAVE US ON THE EDGE OF OUR SEATS Marie Smith: #'s in red = # of beads to add? AKTATTER: HOPE ALL IS WELL AKTATTER: NEXT JOIN TO THE LBP AS NORMAL AKTATTER: TAT 2 MAKE A PICOT WITH THREE BEADS ON IT Winkerbill: not well, but we're hanging in there... AKTATTER: RIGHT MARIE AKTATTER: OK :) AKTATTER: QUESTION AKTATTER: THIS IS A TEST katie Verna/occhitat: k LearaB: nope Angela: no questions AKTATTER: DID WE HAVE TO STRING THE THREE BEADS FOR THE PICOT ON THE SHUTTLE BEFORE WE STARTED? katie Verna/occhitat: uh, yep Marie Smith: I would AKTATTER: OH THE SILENCE IS DEAFENING!! Cynthia: yes... Krystledawne: no Paule: yes Krystledawne: yes AKTATTER: AH BUT IT IS NOT NECESSARY!!!! Krystledawne: maybe Angela: no LearaB: no Krystledawne: I was right!!!! AKTATTER: THE BEADED PICOT CAN BE SHORT TOO Paule: oh? cat2tat: no katie Verna/occhitat: OK, I get it. Krystledawne: i'll never tat with beads if it requires being pre strung Paule: how? AKTATTER: JUST AS YOU MADE THIS LONG BEADED PICOT AKTATTER: PULL UP THE CORE THREAD AKTATTER: SLIDE THREE BEADS ON AKTATTER: AND JOIN TO THE PICOT IMMEDIATELY Winkerbill: I'm back...sorry, I can't type and talk to Mom at the same time. AKTATTER: VOILA! AKTATTER: (THAT WAS FOR PAULE) ALL DONE Paule: Does it realy really look the same? Cynthia: ah ha....that is sneaky... Paule: Be truthfull now!!! AKTATTER: tERRY MCGUFIN I THINK HAS MADE THAT QUITE POPULAR THESE DAYS Mimi: It's on such a small scale it's very difficult to tell Mimi: TM totally will not prestring AKTATTER: ALMOST PAULE Mimi: I like to prestring if I'm traveling AKTATTER: SO HARD TO SEE THE PRESENCE OF THE SECOND THREAD Mimi: Ever try to get a size 14 crochet hook into a seed bead in a car??? Mimi: Or on a plane? AKTATTER: OK NOW GO ON WITH THE RING Cynthia: challenging... Paule: veeeery difficult katie Verna/occhitat: bump, jiggle, bump Bonnie: any tips on stringing the beads? AKTATTER: EVER TRY TO GET IT BACK OUT OF YOUR FOREFINGER? LearaB: funny Krystledawne: i saw a vid using a needle threader AKTATTER: FIRST YOU LOOK AT IT Mimi: exactly! AKTATTER: PULL THE LBP THRU THE TOP OF THE SBP AND JOIN Winkerbill: sorry....are we still on teh butterfly? AKTATTER: WE ARE ON THE SMALL BUTTERFLY Sherong: String beads - something I showed at Tat Days, blue box with about 50 pieces, some type of floss, in the dental stuff Winkerbill: Thanks Sherong: has a fuzzy part to hold the beads AKTATTER: AT 2 AND CLOSE AKTATTER: THE HEAD IS A SPLIT RING AKTATTER: AND FOR THAT ONE Sherong: Floss part you can fold over the thread and pull a bead onto thread AKTATTER: JANE DID ASK US TO HAVE THE BEADS ONE ON EACH SHUTTLE katie Verna/occhitat: What are the "4"s for in the ring? AKTATTER: BUT SINCE YOU ARE ONLY TATTING 5 DS ON A SIDE AKTATTER: JUST USE THE TAILS AND FINGER TAT THE REST AKTATTER: WRONG BUTTERFLY Picot: k AKTATTER: ON THE LARGE BUTTERFLY KATIE THE 4 = THE NUMBER OF DS DONE IN REPETITION katie Verna/occhitat: Ok, sorry, AK AKTATTER: THE LARGE BUTTFLY IS DONE THE SMAE WAY AKTATTER: BUT AKTATTER: IT HAS TWO VERY SMALL PICOTS Bonnie: sherong i have seen those thanks i'll try it AKTATTER: JUST A LOOSE STITCH OR A BUMP ACTUALLY Sherong: Stuff by OralB, think it's superfloss, not ultrafloss AKTATTER: TO WHICH THE HEAD JOINS ON BOTH SIDES AKTATTER: FOR STABILITY AKTATTER: QUESTIONS ON THE BUTTERFLY?
