Carol Amich Cluny Angel

Our lesson from Jan. 22 dealt with the hanging cluny. Many thanks to Carol Amich for sharing this pattern with the online tatting class. As mentioned last week Mimi Dillman has a special fondness for cluny tatting and she has prepared models of this cluny angel designed by Carol Amich. Be sure to visit Mimi's cluny page, with a cluny tatting bibliography and links to more cluny patterns online.

Begin with a cluny tally of 12 wraps.

R 3 - 1 - 1 - 1 - 1 - 3 RW

R 8 - 4 + (join to the picot just made) 8 (this makes a dimpled or heart-shaped ring)

CH 1 (to bring the rings together)

End with a second cluny tally of 12 wraps and secoure ends.
