Ch 9 dc in 6th ch from hook and in the next 3 ch.

*Ch 5 turn dc in each dc repeat from * until you have 20 or 24 ch 5 on each side. Depending on pattern.

Join to beginning to form circle.

For zig zag crocheted braid: Ch 7, 3 dc in 6th ch ch 2 3 dc in next ch. *Ch 5 (3 dc ch 2, 3 dc) in ch 2 space. Repeat from * for length. Join to beginning to form ring.
