38 large beads
34 small beads
Sample worked with #20 size thread
----- = a very large picot to fit the large bead
- = regular length picot
± = join

The large bead is put on first using a crochet hook to slide it over the picot and then the join is completed.
Small beads must be threaded onto the ball thread before the shuttle is wound.
Choker length is made to fit neck; average 12" or 31.5 CM


Commence tatting with the end ring.
1: Ring 1 on diagram
R 4 ----- 4 - 4 ----- 4 close ring. RW
2: End Chain: CH 9 RW
3: Ring 3 on diagram
R 4 ± with a large bead 4 - 4 ----- 4 close ring. RW
4: Side Chain: CH 9 - with 2 beads on picot 9 RW
5: Ring 5 on diagram
R 4 ± with a large bead 4 - 4 ----- 4 close ring. RW
Repeat for desired length or until all small beads used up.

For the return side then:
1: End Chain: CH 9 RW
2: End Ring: R 4 ± 4 - 4 ----- 4 close ring. RW
3: End Chain: CH 9 RW
4: Side Ring: R 4 ± with a large bead 4 - 4 ----- 4 close ring. RW
5: Side Chain: CH 9 join between the two beads on the picot of opposite chain 9 RW
Repeat down the return side and finish off ends.
