Cher’s Ankle Bracelet

Model shown was tatted using a #5 needle, size 10 thread, 9 beads, and 1 barrel clasp. Total length of bracelet (including clasp): 9½ inches.
String 9 beads on ball thread.

Thread needle. Leave at least 1½ yards thread before first ds.

R 8 - 8 (make picot as long as possible. Finished size of picot should be at least 2 inches as it is used to attach part of the clasp when finished.) close.

* Slide 1 bead close to ring. Put needle thread through bead. Snug bead down tight to ring.

SR 8 / 8 close. (you can add extra small picots here if desired.)

Repeat from * until you have 9 beads and SR. Be sure to end with split ring. RW Cut thread leaving long tails.

Finishing: Cut picot on first ring in half. Tie to ring on clasp with 2 square knots. Weave ends into first ring. (for help in hiding ends see previous lesson Hide Ends.) Tie ends from last split ring to other end of clasp with 2 square knots. Weave in ends.
